Over the last 15 + years, Kirsten has been committed to the academic growth and development of confident students. Since the inception of Buckhead Prep, Kirsten has actively served the school in curriculum development, teaching, and teacher training. In 2017, Kirsten became the Director and Managing Member of the Buckhead Prep at Smyrna

Since the inception of Buckhead Prep, Kirsten has actively served the school in curriculum development, teaching, and teacher training. In 2017, Kirsten became the Director and Managing Member of the Buckhead Prep at Smyrna Market Village.
Kirsten is a professional violinist, performing at age 5 at the Kennedy Center in NYC. She completed her Undergraduate Degree (BBA) in Marketing at the University of Georgia, received her MBA and MS at Georgia State University, and spent over 7 years in Marketing and Project Management in the Technology and Exhibit Marketing Fields. As a wife to Scott, mom of Jackson (6), Cannon (4), and Georgia Reed (2) (all proud Buckhead Prep at Smyrna Market Village students), and active Smyrna resident and supporter, Kirsten is thrilled to watch Buckhead Prep at Smyrna Market Village grow and flourish under its new name, Smyrna Prep.

Mrs. Carmen is an exceptional educator, bringing over two decades of experience to her students. Born in Honduras, she received her Masters Degree and began her teaching career in her home country. In 2005, she became a US citizen and has been teaching with our school for 14 years. She brings a love of culture and language to the classroom and through our Spanish Enrichment.

Mrs. Chelsy Smoak-Ochoa serves as Director and Primary teacher. Her heart for teaching and missionary service background bring a warmth and depth to the classroom. She is a musician, animal lover, and mom, so her class is always filled with songs and activities to engage the students in active learning.
