Since the inception of Buckhead Prep, Kirsten has actively served the school in curriculum development, teaching, and teacher training. In 2017, Kirsten became the Director and Managing Member of the Buckhead Prep at Smyrna Market Village.
Kirsten is a professional violinist, performing at age 5 at the Kennedy Center in NYC. She completed her Undergraduate Degree (BBA) in Marketing at the University of Georgia, received her MBA and MS at Georgia State University, and spent over 7 years in Marketing and Project Management in the Technology and Exhibit Marketing Fields. As a wife to Scott, mom of Jackson (6), Cannon (4), and Georgia Reed (2) (all proud Buckhead Prep at Smyrna Market Village students), and active Smyrna resident and supporter, Kirsten is thrilled to watch Buckhead Prep at Smyrna Market Village grow and flourish under its new name, Smyrna Prep.
Lauren Harvey brings a wealth of passion and knowledge to the art of teaching. Her background in both academics and social work, is a testament to the heart she puts into helping each child at our school learn to read. Everyday, Ms. Lauren works with every child on campus to help them become confident, fluid, readers.
Phyllis spent over 40 years as a college mathematics professor in her home state of North Carolina. She also served as part of numerous Academic Consortiums and "Think Tanks" across the South East. She was also active in curriculum development and standards for the state of North Carolina as well as serving as President of the NCMATYC.

Phyllis has been married to husband, Gary for over 40 years. She has two adult children and three grandchildren.
